Egypt & Dubai
I guess to sum up this tour - after being there so many times, I never get sick of going back! It is safe, the hospitality is outstanding and the sights will remain with you forever. It is a big statement from me – but – it is possibly my favourite destination.
Dubai was originally a tiny fishing village. The city was established as a trading centre in the mid 19th century and quickly became the region's merchant trading hub. The migration of merchants and entrepreneurs from throughout the Gulf and Indian subcontinent made Dubai a cosmopolitan and prosperous city.
Modern Dubai reflects this lively and dynamic past. The Creek, which has been the centre of Dubai’s trade for generations, is still the most visible and picturesque site of the city’s commerce.
In 1971 Dubai joined with the six other Emirates – Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah, Ajman and Fujairah – to create the United Arab Emirates.
